Regional Sustainability Conference - Speaker Bios

 

Beth Shiroishi, AT&T

Beth Shiroishi is Assistant Vice President, Citizenship and Sustainability, with AT&T.  In this role, she is responsible for sharpening the company’s focus on citizenship and sustainability. This includes communicating externally and internally the company’s citizenship and sustainability efforts; stakeholder relationships; and structural governance that guides the company. Beth was appointed to this position in March of 2008, as the company implemented a new governance structure to oversee Citizenship and Sustainability.

Prior to this position, Beth was Senior Director, Regulatory Policy & Planning, with responsibility for Network & Services Transformation at AT&T. Past regulatory responsibilities include policy, advocacy and compliance for a wide range of issues dealing with network, wholesale, broadband and Voice over Internet Protocol services.   

Beth joined the company as part of BellSouth in 1998 and has held jobs in various areas including pricing, product management (local interconnection, switched access, and collocation), and interconnection agreement negotiations.  Just prior to joining the Regulatory department, Beth was a Director in the Interconnection Services group overseeing the negotiations of all interconnection and resale agreements with CLECs.  

Beth is a graduate of Agnes Scott College and was in education prior to joining the company.
