The mission of The Chamber’s Business Development
division is to provide professional assistance to start, sustain and grow
businesses by identifying their needs, connecting them with resources, and
providing valuable programs and services.
The Chamber works to create a thriving business
climate by joining with strategic partners to champion regional economic
development efforts; support business expansion and retention; and
address workforce development, minority business development needs, and
business continuity planning.

The Southwest Indiana Small Business Development Center
(SBDC) provides assistance to small business owners and
entrepreneurs in business planning, market research and
financial analysis.

The Economic Development Coalition of
Southwest Indiana (EDC) acts as the umbrella economic
development organization for Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh and
Warrick Counties in Southwest Indiana. The Coalition facilitates
and coordinates business retention, expansion and attraction
activities, and supports efforts to enhance the business climate
through regional capacity building.

Indiana’s WorkOne offices are the heart
of the workforce development system. There are many business
services offered through WorkOne Southwest for employers, such
as candidate searches, recruitment services, labor market
information, training grant opportunities, worker layoff
assistance, and more.

The mission of the Tri-State
Manufacturers’ Alliance (TSMA), a membership-driven
organization, is to provide a vibrant and attractive
manufacturing environment throughout the Tri-State region by
coordinating plant tours, peer group discussions, quarterly
events and best practice sharing.

1982, the Tri-State World Trade Network (TSWTN), a non-profit
organization, has been promoting a shared interest in the development of
international trade in the Tri-State region of Indiana, Kentucky and
Illinois.
