The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana Annual Awards

The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana hosts an Annual Dinner each year in order to confirm the appointment of new board members and officers. The dinner also provides an opportunity to recognize Chamber members for their valuable service and leadership. The criteria for the three awards presented are as follows:

Norman P. Wagner Business of the Year
Candidates will be considered based on the following criteria:
• A member firm of The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana.
• A business that creates wealth within our region by generating good-paying jobs and building its capital investment in Southwestern Indiana.
• Level of participation in community activities reflecting a profound regard for citizens of the area.
• Active participation and leadership in improving the overall quality of life in our region.

Richard A. Schlottman Business Person of the Year
Candidates will be considered based on the following criteria:
• An employee of a member firm of The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana.
• Personal and professional conduct reflecting the mission of The Chamber.
• An individual who stands out from others as an advocate and leader within the business community.
• A person who goes above and beyond the normal call of duty.
• Involvement in other community and commerce activities outside of The Chamber which contributes to the mission of The Chamber.

Volunteer of the Year
Candidates will be considered based on the following criteria:
• An employee of a member firm of The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana.
• Honors an individual member specifically for his/her outstanding volunteer service to The Chamber.
